Hi Em,I have just shared your writing with a new friend at the condo where we live in Ottawa. Her husband has also been diagnosed with Gioblastoma and after a 40 year marriage he is living on borrowed time. I thought she might appreciate your writing.

Profoundly beautiful, I am so very sorry you have had to experience this. This is such a thought provoking piece. I remember hearing somewhere that the "tunnel of light" that we associate with death closely resembles that transition during birth. Whether intended to be interpreted symbolically, or literally as in the case of rebirth, it's an image that has stuck with me when I think about death.
