This is a very beautiful story and a truly inspiring one. I love how you now see the world differently, as an artist, in rich and varied hues. I love how much attention you give to the quality and character of Neve’s eyes (I was always struck by the delicate beauty and expressiveness of Neve’s eyes - I recall meeting her when she as a toddler, at a music group and gazing at her beautiful elfin features and curly locks). It is so bittersweet, as you say. Neve delighted in your art and warmly encouraged you and, as you say, she gifted you your artistic skill. Keep on painting Emily and sharing your gift with us xxx
It is incredible how art has changed how I see the world. Makes me sad to think that as funding for the arts decreases, so many fewer people will have the opportunity to view the world in its rich and varied hues.
